Objective

When building their new cold storage room for yeast, Coldsped wanted to be able to keep the yeast at a uniform temperature of six degrees. This meant they had to plan for refrigeration of the product. Due to the narrow layout of the existing cold storage room, Coldsped was looking for a new system of compact storage.

Construction

The air film transporter has been designed as a compact unit, providing safe and accurate handling of the 14-tonne loaded pallet racks. Remote control ensures the operator has all-around visibility at all times.

Result

The air film transporter allows the food products to be handled quickly and efficiently, minimizing the risk of thawing. The efficient new cold storage room is a good example of rational compact storing where the investment costs have been kept to a reasonable level.
